We are currently working with a specialist school for children with autism in South East London who are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their school. The Role As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children and young people with autism within small class settings. The school has opportunities across both their primary and secondary provision so you can use your skills and experience within a phase you are comfortable supporting. Pupils access learning through pathways and therefore classes are based on needs as opposed to age. You will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to prepare learning and development activities and support pupils through a wide range of classes, therapy sessions, and off-site enrichment days. The school is looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants with previous experience supporting children or adults with autism or those who have a genuine interest in entering the special needs education sector.
