**The Role :**

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at an SEN School based in Bury St Edmunds. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with the schools teaching staff to create a nurturing and effective learning environment, tailored to the individual needs of each student. You will also manage student behaviour, using strategies that help prevent issues and promote positive behaviours in the classroom.

**Your Responsibilities:**

* Tailor support to address the unique learning requirements of students with SEN. * Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. * Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere. * Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals. * Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN. * Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.

**Requirements:**

* Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autismADHD experience). * Strong behaviour management skills. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. * Caring and empathetic personality. * Commitment to safeguarding children. * A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
