A dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Maidenhead is seeking a warm and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting in January. The school caters to children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, complex learning difficulties, and lower cognitive abilities. If you are empathetic, adaptable, and ready to take on a challenge, this role could be a great fit. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for students. Your daily responsibilities will include: Assisting with lessons Encouraging positive behavior Creating a fun and engaging learning environment Providing one-to-one support where needed Managing behavioral challenges While experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is beneficial, it's not essential. This experience can be professional, such as volunteering or working in a similar environment, or personal, such as supporting a family member with additional needs. A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field would also be advantageous, but enthusiasm and a desire to help are what matter most!
