The right candidate will be friendly, firm, and fair, able to build a trusting relationship while maintaining clear boundaries. You’ll need patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit the child’s individual needs.Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to help the child manage his learning and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to develop strategies that meet his unique needs.
- Be a positive, consistent presence in his daily routine, helping him engage with his education and peers.
- Adapt activities and tasks to ensure the child’s progress in line with his individual education plan.
- Previous experience in SEN support is beneficial but not essential.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to be both supportive and structured.
- An interest in working with children with complex needs.
