Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced SENCO looking for an exciting new challenge? A well-regarded secondary school in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join their team from January 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the school's SEN provision, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to support students with additional needs. Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to create tailored support plans. Oversee the assessment and identification of SEND students, ensuring appropriate interventions. Provide training and support to teaching staff on best practices for inclusive education. Manage the SEND budget and resources effectively.

Essential Requirements:

Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification. Demonstrable experience as a SENCO or in a leadership role within SEN. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice. Proven track record of improving outcomes for students with SEND. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Desirable Attributes:

Experience in a secondary school setting. Ability to work collaboratively and foster a culture of inclusion and high expectations. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in SEND provision.
