SENCo

you will be part of an experienced leadership team, required to manage and deliver the strategic development of Nova Training s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision. With an oversight of the day to day operation of the SEN activities, ensuring SEN learner achievement is progressive through the development and monitoring of all aspects of the learner journey. You will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities: Put provision in place to ensure that progress of apprentices with SEN needs improves relative to those without SEN. Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEN learners. Produce regular reports on progress of apprentices to Senior SENCO and Apprenticeship Director. Support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for individual learners with SEN. Provide one to one teaching support where necessary for apprentices with EHCP plan. Keep parents informed about their son/daughter's progress at Annual Reviews. Identify appropriate resources needed to meet needs of SEN apprentices. Coordinate all Annual Reviews and have an input into monthly reviews of Individuals Education Health Care Plans with coaches and other professionals working with the SEN apprentice. Attend all CPD and events linked to the SEN provision. Maintain own CPD, relevant to the role.

Requirements: Minimum of 1 year s experience as a SENCo in an education setting. Excellent English & Maths skills (Level 2 or equivalent). Relevant SEN qualification or experience. Can demonstrate effective support of a SEN provision. Able to work independently. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Have vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning. Full, clean UK Driving License
