As SENDCo, you will lead the school’s commitment to SEND inclusion, ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive. Collaborating with staff, parents, and external agencies, you will drive initiatives that champion inclusion, safeguarding, and high standards of teaching and learning for all. Your Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of Learning Support across the school. Assess students’ needs and implement effective support strategies. Maintain and update the SEN register, ensuring compliance with EHCP targets. Lead and contribute to annual reviews, providing accurate progress reports for EHCP students. Be the main point of contact for parents and support staff regarding SEND provisions. Champion the needs of AGT (Able, Gifted, and Talented) students. Teach and model outstanding practice, inspiring colleagues with your expertise. Work collaboratively with the leadership team to implement school improvement priorities. Promote and uphold safeguarding and student welfare policies. Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will: Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with a track record in SEND inclusion. Hold a Postgraduate SEND or NASENCo qualification. Have Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent). Possess deep knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and strategies for supporting SpLD, ASC, and PMLD students. Have a history of raising achievement for students of all abilities. Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Be skilled in safeguarding procedures and best practices.
