Tiny Toez @ East Valley is looking for a one to one support worker who will support a child in our setting for three days per week.
Working pattern:
Monday - Friday 8.00-1.00pm, Term Time Only (Alternative working hours may be considered, happy to discuss further with potential candidates) Qualification:
Level 2 or above with a recognised childcare qualification Responsible to:
Nursery Manager Responsibilities:
Work as a member of the nursery team to provide high quality care and education. In consultation with parents/carers and SENCO, and in collaboration with other agencies, plan and provide for individual children; ensure that each child’s cognitive, social and emotional needs are met. Ensure the nursery is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, and standards of hygiene are high. Implement safety procedures at all times and promote positive behaviour. Support children’s personal, social and emotional development. Foster children’s growth, self-esteem and independence. Plan and deliver focused learning opportunities for individual children and carry out focused tasks from individual action plans. Work with the key workers to discuss each child’s individual needs. Extend the nursery curriculum by participating in outings and trips. Maintain confidential files, reports, and developmental records for assessment purposes. Consult with parents/carers to maintain their involvement in the nursery. Ensure that parents/carers are fully supported in accessing available services. Participate in supervision and appraisal. Take part in relevant training and group meetings to enhance personal and professional development. Ensure reasonable care is taken for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others, complying with health and safety policies and procedures. Carry out any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of this job description. Job Types:
