SEND Primary TA Location:
UB6 London, UK FULL TIME! About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND TA to join our inclusive and vibrant primary school located in the heart of London. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the educational development and emotional well-being of children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the classroom teacher to deliver tailored educational support to students with SEND, ensuring their specific learning objectives are met. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans (BSPs). Provide 1-1 or small group support to students, focusing on areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills. Establish a safe and nurturing environment that encourages students with SEND to engage actively in their learning and school community. Collaborate with external professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, facilitating the holistic support of students. Participate in training and development opportunities to strengthen your knowledge and skills in special education. Promote inclusion by assisting in adapting curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting is essential. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND and a commitment to ensuring they receive equitable access to educational opportunities. Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures is vital. Key Skills and Attributes: A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their educational and emotional development.
