Aspire People are seeking a dedicated SEND Specialist to work across primary schools in Loughborough and surrounding areas, supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners by providing tailored support to help each child achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalized support to students with SEND, creating a nurturing environment for their learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of students. Monitor and report on students' progress and provide feedback to staff and parents. Work closely with the SENDCo, educational psychologists, and other professionals to ensure high-quality, inclusive education. Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on effective SEND strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum Level 3 in a relevant field (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEND Education). Experience:

Proven experience working with SEND students in a primary school setting is highly desirable. Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt and respond to individual needs; excellent organizational abilities. Knowledge:

Understanding of SEND legislation and best practices in supporting primary-aged students with additional needs.
