SEND Support Assistant Location:

8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Age Range:
EYFS to KS4 (Dependent on experience) Contract Type:
Full-time, with potential for permanent placement Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the EYFS to KS4 age range. Assisting with personal care and mobility where required. Encouraging students to engage in classroom activities and learning. Working 1:1 or with small groups to support specific learning needs. Helping with behavioural support and implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes. Liaising with teachers and other staff to monitor and support the progress of individual students. Promoting independence and social integration within the school environment. Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is desirable, but not essential. A passion for working with young people with additional needs. Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills, both with students and the wider school community.
