Working as a Teaching Assistant, you will work at a range of SEND schools providing support for students with additional needs in order to ensure that they’re getting the best out of their education and are given an equal opportunity to succeed outside of the classroom. Initially, you may work on a day-to-day basis; however, there is often the option for a school to offer you a long-term position should they require. The Schools:

You will work with multiple SEND schools across the South Yorkshire region with a range of different needs (ASC, PMLD, SEMH, SLD to mention a few) while following the main aims and ethos of the schools. No matter which school you attend, you will be trusted to ensure the safety, confidentiality, and progress of the pupils. The Successful Candidate:

As an individual, you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students. You must be adaptable, motivated, and committed to providing a caring and exciting learning environment where children are valued as individuals, are challenged, and enabled to reach their full potential. Although not essential, extra qualifications in training in Moving and Handling and/or Team Teach are highly desired. What Protocol Can Offer:

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. We also offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
