SEND Teaching Assistant , you will work closely with primary-aged students with a variety of needs, fostering their development and ensuring they have the best possible learning experience. Responsibilities of the SEND Teaching Assistant (TA): Deliver individualised support to students with

SEND , both in small group and one-on-one settings, ensuring their unique learning needs are met. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting lesson content and strategies to accommodate diverse needs. Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence, independence, and engagement. Collaborate with the classroom teacher in lesson planning, ensuring effective classroom management and tailored support for

SEND

students. Monitor, assess, and document student progress, liaising regularly with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support. Foster social integration and emotional well-being through proactive, empathetic support and engagement with students. Requirements of the SEND Teaching Assistant (TA): Previous experience as a

Teaching Assistant , preferably with

SEND

students. Strong understanding of SEND strategies, including

Autism, ADHD,

or Speech and Language needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff. Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and adaptable in challenging situations. Relevant qualifications, such as a CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent, are desirable but not essential. To work with GSL Education as a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA), you need: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
