SEND Teaching Assistant Primary, Special Needs School Rotherham, S60 £90 per day Start date: January 2025 Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only Unique School Solutions are supporting a special needs school in Rotherham to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within their primary school. The role will be working within the classroom under the direction of the teacher in either KS1 or KS2. The role is to start in January 2025 and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks. About the school: Special school catering for children with moderate learning and physical disabilities. Diverse community which the school serves. Fantastic school facilities. Supportive staff and leadership team. Essential requirements for the role: Previous experience working within a school or similar setting. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent). The ability to build rapport with children. The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative. Personal care may be required (full on-site training will be provided).
