per annum FTE (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) January 2025 - April 2025 The School and Role This large primary school in Chesterfield, Derbyshire with a GOOD Ofsted rating is part of a Multi Academy Trust and has a hard-working and dedicated SLT. The appointed SENDCo will be working full time, and you will: Support with the strategic development of SEND provision in the school. Complete Annual Reviews, Interim reviews and Emergency Reviews of EHCPs in line with the SEND code of practice. Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies. Advise on the use of the school’s budget and other resources to meet pupils' needs effectively, including staff development. Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum. Lead and manage staff and the effective deployment of staff and resources. Ensure quality assurance of Teaching and Learning with a focus on SEND provision. Attend and review PEP meetings. Requirements The desired SENDCo will have: Experience of working as SENDCo Accredited SENDCo qualification QTS Experience of working with pupils with SEND A passion for the progress of primary school pupils An ability to work as part of a team What we offer As a SENDCo and part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
