Senior Accountant to join independent accountancy practice in East Sussex. Support, training and professional development on offer. About Our Client Our client is a leading professional services firm based in East Sussex. Job Description Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Liaise with internal and external auditors to handle any financial irregularities that occur. Prepare tax returns and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time. Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategise solutions, and help organisations run efficiently. Offer guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximisation. Stay updated with industry trends and changes related to laws and regulations. Lead and direct the work of others in the department. The Successful Applicant A successful 'Senior Accountant' should have: Qualified or part qualified (ACA, ACCA, etc). A solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel, and knowledge of relevant accounting software.
