In this vital role, the Senior AP Accountant will lead a team and oversee all accounting and finance operations for a renowned fashion retail company. The successful candidate will need to be an exemplary leader, possessing a strong understanding of accounting principles, and must have a keen eye for detail. The head office is based in Green Park and the role will be fully office based. Client Details This company is a luxury fashion business that are looking for a Senior AP Accountant to join the team permanently. The successful candidate will be overseeing a junior in the team and will report directly to the Group Financial Manager. The head office is a modern building in the West End (Green Park) and they are looking for someone to take control of the day to day accounting for the UK company. The role is mainly focused around the management of the AP ledger, along with the assisting on the month-end processing and AR ledger management. The successful candidate will also have the chance to assist with the payroll admin for the company. Description The successful Senior AP Accountant will: Manage the end to end Accounts Payable ledger and assist with the Accounts Receivable processes. Complete the monthly cycle of the Accounts Payable and Receivable including the month end process. Take the initiative in implementing new processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the Finance Department. Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate effectively with other departments. Process invoices whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy & resolving any queries or discrepancies that may arise. Process all employee expense claims & credit card statements. Assist with the processing of payroll Reconciling supplier statements & resolving old historical discrepancies. Manage one entity & prepare the payment runs for authorisation. Respond to & completing any Accounts queries. Profile A successful Senior AP Accountant should have: A minimum of 5 years experience working in Accounts Payable MUST have prior working knowledge of one of the systems Quickbooks and Sage 200 (highly desirable) MUST have prior experience doing a similar role within a fashion or retail company Be able to work from the office Monday to Friday Strong Excel skills Experience in leading a team (desirable) Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisation skills. Knowledge in using accounting software. Job Offer £45,000 (max) Additional benefits Bonus (disc.)
