Senior Accountant
to join their expanding practice. This role will cover a range of responsibilities in a variety of different areas of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and tax. The position is a full-time role, but they will consider part-time on a pro-rata basis.
Your role will cover:
Preparation, calculation, and submission of Corporation Tax Returns to HMRC. Preparation, calculation, and submission of Self-Assessment Returns to HMRC. Bookkeeping via a variety of digital systems. Preparation, calculation, and submission of VAT returns to HMRC. Preparation of management accounts. Preparation of annual financial statements. Liaising with clients. Operating with a regular portfolio of clients.
Qualifications and skills:
A good set of IT skills, with experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, accounts, tax, and bookkeeping software, preferably with good experience of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, and IRIS / Digita. Good communication skills, able to confidently liaise with clients by telephone, e-mail, and face to face. Good organisational skills. Able to work both individually and within a team. Preference will be given to candidates with experience within public practice. Preference will be given to candidates with AAT or above qualifications.
