Job Description An incredible opportunity has arisen for a qualified senior accountant to work for an award-winning accountancy practice in Newport with clients across a variety of sectors. The company is undergoing rapid growth, and this position will play a significant role in helping the accounting team through these exciting times. Essential Requirements The ideal applicant should: Have a minimum of 4 years of experience within an Accountancy Practice Have good knowledge of IRIS, XERO (QuickBooks and Sage would also be an advantage) Have experience dealing with their own client portfolio Be ICAEW / ACCA qualified or Part Qualified Have experience of international accounting and dealing with international clients Have excellent knowledge of Audit and Control systems Have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Have a high level of commitment and flexibility, actively offering assistance to colleagues and taking ownership of tasks assigned Have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Be able to research technical issues when needed, advise clients, and attend meetings Be self-motivated and highly professional Responsibilities and Tasks Include: The role will involve preparing management accounts for around 100 – 120 clients as well as: Quarterly PAYE Managing statutory accounts jobs End of year payroll filing, P60, Dividend Voucher, and RTI Reviewing work diligently from junior team members and providing constructive feedback Evaluating financial information for management and final approval purposes Preparation of client VAT returns Preparation of budgets/forecasts and other ad hoc information for clients Keeping up to date with relevant technical materials Job Type:
