Future Publishing Ltd seeks a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead our fast-paced, global Accounts Payable (AP) department. With responsibility for a team of seven staff members, the successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process across multiple subsidiaries. This role demands a strong leader who is people-focused, highly communicative, and capable of delivering sustained improvements while engaging with senior leadership teams (SLT). What you'll be doing... Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you will be involved in the following: Team Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of seven AP professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals and values. Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to build a high-performing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. P2P Process Management:

Oversee the full P2P process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor management, and reconciliations. Drive sustained improvements in AP processes, leveraging technology and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a key point of contact for SLT, providing timely and clear updates on AP performance and strategic initiatives. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across global subsidiaries. Proactively resolve escalated issues with vendors, employees, and other departments. Project Management and Process Improvements:

Lead projects aimed at streamlining AP operations and implementing best practices globally. Identify opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and cost savings. Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of new systems or tools. Experience that will put you ahead of the curve... Proven experience in managing an Accounts Payable department, ideally within a global, multi-subsidiary organization. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in recruitment, training, and development. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at SLT level. Demonstrated expertise in P2P processes and AP best practices. Proven track record in driving process improvements and managing AP-related projects. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Professional accounting qualification or relevant degree. Experience with ERP systems and AP automation tools. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in a global context. What's in it for you… The expected range for this role is £50,000 - £65,000.
