Role Overview: Wanted a Senior Administrator to join a much respected national charity in central London. In this role you will be providing administrative support to a team of approx. 8 staff, your workload will primarily involve supporting the Senior Governance Executive Officer, and support to the Conference office as well as the line management of 2 support staff. You’ll work professionally and collaboratively to provide vital administrative support to the Conference Office, taking charge of specific processes and tasks as needed. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with 2-3 days a week in the office, depending on workload.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Efficient Administration: Deliver top-notch administrative support to the Conference Office, maintaining a positive and customer-focused approach.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support the administrative team, ensuring resources are used effectively, especially during busy periods.
  • Task Management: Own regular tasks and processes, ensuring they are completed on time and to a high standard. Take initiative and be accountable for your work.
  • Decision Making: Step in for senior colleagues when necessary, making operational decisions to keep everything on track.
  • Governance Support: Assist the Senior Governance Executive Officer with their duties, including support for the Council.
  • Conference Assistance: Provide administrative support for the organisation’s conferences, working closely with the Senior Governance Executive Officer.
  • Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and circulate papers for panels and working groups. Develop and follow through on action plans.
  • Inbox Management: Oversee the Conference Office inbox, distributing messages and responding as needed.
  • Database Maintenance: Keep the database up to date, ensuring compliance with data protection laws. Handle invoices and expense claims.
  • Additional Duties: Take on other tasks as requested by senior staff.
