Alpine F1 Team have an exciting opportunity within the Aerodynamic Performance Group. Senior Aerodynamic Performance Engineer – The Role Within this role, you will build on your experience acquired in related fields to manage large scale projects tackling a wide variety of aerodynamics problems to ultimately enhance the output of our aerodynamic development programme. You will take ownership of aerodynamic track testing projects related to performance and correlation, from inception to conclusion, liaising with factory and trackside engineering groups to ensure best outcomes and maximise contributions into the development of future cars. You will work on race events with all vehicle performance groups to optimise the performance of the car through data analysis and simulation studies, using inputs from track testing, driver in the loop as well as wind tunnel and CFD to inform key setup decisions. You will mentor and develop aero performance engineers, managing their contributions to projects and setting high standards to improve the aero performance group. Senior Aerodynamic Performance Engineer – The Person We are looking for an individual with previous experience in either aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics or performance engineering in one of the top motorsport categories. You will have a sound understanding of race car aerodynamics and experience with race car performance data as well as data analysis, processing, and visualization. Experience of dynamic vehicle simulations would be advantageous. You understand the importance of committing to deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed. This position demands strong teamwork and decision-making abilities. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.
