This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research analyst and writer interested in the environmental and sustainability sector. This position is full-time.
Environment Analyst is an international membership community for the environmental services space, built around our industry-leading market intelligence, events, and networking activities. Our team of analysts helps customers examine market opportunities in the ESG, sustainability, and environmental services sector.
Responsibilities:
Interviewing business leaders from the environmental and sustainability sector and wider industry to understand their project and client challenges, M&A decisions, strategic challenges, and information needs.
Lead, research, write, and edit engaging articles, reports, and presentations.
Maintain and analyze data from a wide range of sources to produce statistical models and forecasts to inform our market research reports, managing core data sets and outputs.
Contribute to the ongoing digitalization of our data products by developing interactive dashboards.
Develop our capacity to produce analysis on current market trends and future outlook of the environmental and sustainability consulting sector.
Assess the impact of broader demographic, social, commercial, and regulatory changes on this sector.
Help organize and deliver working groups, roundtables, and contribute to our live and virtual events program.
Represent Environment Analyst at industry events and in client-facing meetings/interviews.
Requirements:
2-5 years of relevant experience in market analysis, either as a research analyst or consultant.
Highly adept at analyzing and manipulating large data sets in Excel, while being capable of independently drawing insightful conclusions from available material and secondary resources.
Experience in using interactive visualization products (such as Power BI).
Excellent organizational skills and a laser focus on efficient working.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong analytical and research abilities, including the ability to identify subjects that will interest our members and write about them with a focus on industry and company financials.
Ability to write in a clear and engaging manner, argue compellingly, and present data intelligently.
A proactive and collaborative attitude, and ability to work jointly on research.
Ability to prioritize and act on own initiative, but openly as part of a tightly knit team.
Ability to identify issues or areas of improvement and strong problem-solving skills to address those issues.
Comfortable working across multiple projects.
Fluent English writing and language skills.
Confident in public speaking and presenting.
A first or upper second-class (or expected) degree from a top university in a numerate subject. Candidates with degrees in other subjects will be considered if they have other evidence of strong numeracy.
Direct experience in the environmental and sustainability sector is an advantage, but not required.
