Day to day

Lead the design, development, and optimisation of cutting-edge data engineering solutions to support critical business functions. Communicate with stakeholders keeping them up to date and making sure the solutions fulfil their requirements while also making sure they are developed to the required best practises. Work with cross-functional teams to gather insights, understand data needs, and create solutions that fuel business success. Develop and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes that ensure seamless, high-quality data movement across systems. Dive into data analysis and perform rigorous quality assessments to uncover and resolve data issues, ensuring flawless insights. Design and maintain dynamic data models and databases, empowering reporting and analytics that drive key decisions. Implement best-in-class data engineering strategies while upholding data governance standards to maintain the highest level of data integrity. About you

Demonstrated ability to lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and models, ensuring high performance and scalability. Experience in effective communication with senior stakeholders. Previous experience as a senior data engineer or in a similar role. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data engineering tools, with hands-on experience in cloud technologies and scalable data warehouses. Databricks and Azure experience is highly beneficial. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in effectively operating within a dynamic, fast-paced and agile work setting. Be yourself
