The Power and Renewables Research Team is a highly respected group of analysts producing market-leading research on the entire renewable energy value chain, covering onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, energy storage and power markets. Our cutting-edge knowledge of renewable supply chains, costs, deployments, and investment trends further strengthens Wood Mackenzie's offerings in the market during this rapidly changing time in the energy sector. Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join our Energy Storage team in Europe. The analyst will be responsible for market research, policy analysis, and revenue forecasting of the European utility-scale energy storage markets. Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include conducting original quantitative and qualitative research on the market and delivering this analysis to clients through written reports, presentations, public speaking, addressing specific customer enquiries, and delivering bespoke consulting engagements. You will help expand our Europe utility-scale energy storage research using analytical or quantitative tools to better understand the role of storage in the European power market. You will aggregate and summarise project-level datasets, track energy storage market activity, and develop detailed revenue forecasting models and project storage installation volumes and pricing trends. You will scope and tune revenue analysis models in close collaboration with our European Power team through the collection and synthesis of power market price data and analysis of market participation rules for storage. You will build strong ties with key industry stakeholders and engage with clients and prospects in collaboration with our sales team. You will also collaborate with other Wood Mackenzie analysts covering energy storage worldwide, as well as those covering power markets and other renewable technologies and commodities in the region, to ensure our analysis is robust, integrated and thought-provoking. Knowledge and Experience

You have experience working in energy storage, renewables or power markets industry in a commercially focused role or focused on financial assessment of power market assets. You are passionate about renewable energy and have strong knowledge of the sector and markets in Europe. You are experienced with different modelling and analytical software (Python, Microsoft tools) and have experience framing quantitative models. You have strong networking skills and can show that you can develop relationships with key industry stakeholders. You have an analytical mindset and an eye for detail, and you can think outside the box and generate new ideas. You can communicate new ideas and concepts to audiences in an engaging way, both verbally and in writing. You are a strong team player and a natural self-starter who can work independently. You are comfortable disrupting your routine, as you will constantly be looking to learn and provide in-depth analysis of industry trends and innovative market dynamics. Equal Opportunities
