As a Senior Android Developer you will be creating fast, fluid, responsive and reliable mobile applications that provide our customers with a rewarding experience. We are looking for experienced Engineers with an appetite for solving complex problems and building seamless user interactions to world-class standards. Since we are a Software Consultancy, there is expected travel time of 0-15%, according to project, client, and organisational needs. This is a hybrid opportunity so you will be required to work at our Leicester or London office or client site for 3 days every week. Requirements You are good at: Working directly with the client to ensure the technical feasibility of the requirements. Service oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures. Test-driven development and continuous delivery. Metrics, performance, and operational aspects that show you care about your code. You rock at: Proficient with Kotlin. Android platform specific knowledge. Experience with RxJava / Reactive programming. Experienced with or eager to learn well-known development and testing frameworks. Being self-driven and working with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose. Creating fluid visual interactions and implementing mobile user experience patterns. What you will be doing: Developing and maintaining features in a collaborative, Agile environment; Writing testable code and ensuring the test coverage stays at the agreed level; Documenting your code; Taking ownership of your code every step of the way - from development to deployment and maintenance; Diagnosing issues in production and devising solutions for them; Working both autonomously and collaboratively to complete tasks; Being an integral part of solutions design and implementation.
