A leading commodities trading firm is searching for a senior application support analyst to join their newly formed team within data on a permanent basis. Role: Support all of the Data Applications developed by the data team; majority of which are brand new systems, including Market Data, Data Streaming, Live Algo Order Trading Platform, Data Dashboards and Data Pipelines. Join a newly formed team - Lots of room for change / improvements. Looking for someone who can take initiative to leave their own mark on things. Sit as a deputy within the team and play a key role in future growth. Heavy opportunity for automation driven project work, with opportunity to upskill in Python. Work in close collaboration with traders, handling queries and troubleshooting. Requirements: Scripting experience necessary – any language but needs the mindset of utilizing scripting for automation. Monitoring tooling experience i.e. Geneos/Nagios/Solarwinds.
