About the role Reporting to the Snr RDA Manager, we are looking for a Senior Application Technologist for Alcohol & Low/No Beverage to support and deliver against UK&I Alcohol & Low/No Beverage strategy.

Please note: This role is a fixed term contract of 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

Work as part of a team to create Alcohol Low / No beverages showcasing Kerry Flavours and Taste Modulation.

Interpretation of briefs to ensure the development of market suitable products in line with customer expectations, operational needs and commercial needs.

Collaborate, building and strengthen relationships with key individuals within customer accounts to support growth & identify new opportunities - this involves and is not limited to:

Visits / calls with customer.

Planning and preparing presentations.

Process knowledge.

Collaborate with commercial team and work closely with Business Development in applying all relevant technologies and keeping up to date with changes in the market landscape.

Demonstrate your creativity through development of new and exciting beverages.

Conduct regular market review, identify gaps, and create new products supported by sensory validation.

Processing expertise with customer support - ability to problem solve & think through challenges.

Utilise collection products to demonstrate portfolio in application.

Qualifications and skills

Degree in a Scientific or Food Technology discipline.

Min. 2-3 years’ experience in Food Industry in similar role with exposure to development and application of alcoholic beverages.

Teamwork is essential, the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & feedback results.

Ability to work cross functionally.

Effective prioritisation and managing a variety of projects/briefs.

Have experience of building relationships & working with customers.

Proven track record of developing Beverages, experience of developing innovative beverages for the Alcohol & Low/No Alcohol market.

Creative / innovative / proactive mindset.

Strong project management & record keeping.

Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.

Commercial acumen and the ability to meet target price points.

Excellent communication skills.

Competent IT skills.
