As

Senior Architect , you'll support the Station Lead Architect as the design client interface with the Station Integrated Project Team (IPT) and the engineering design teams of the Station Design and Build Contractor, verifying that requirements and specifications are being met.

About the role:

Enable and support the Lead Architect in all aspects of project delivery. Provide specialist technical knowledge and support for architecture and design-related disciplines. Support the preparation of technical scope input for procurement and assess tender returns. Review architecture and design-related discipline requirements by design suppliers. Respond to architecture Requests For Information. Provide technical input for Planning Application packages and conditions closure. Work with various contractors' designers to prepare for Independent Design Review Panel reviews and coordinate responses to their recommendations. Support the integration of architecture and design-related disciplines with other project teams, including civil engineering, landscape, rail systems, environment, and construction logistics. Act as a design concept guardian throughout the design development and construction phases. Work with the Engineering Team through detailed design and construction by D&B contractors to ensure project specifications and requirements are met. Obtain design approvals and signoffs. Ensure safety is a key priority in all aspects of the role.

Manage interfaces across individual delivery units to ensure design consistency.

Skills:

Ability to produce and present documents and reports to various audiences, including internal stakeholders. Ability to deliver presentations to influence a diverse group of stakeholders. Work package development skills. Ability to focus on high-quality design while managing multiple projects.

Knowledge:

Registered architect (ARB or RIBA). Familiarity with relevant architectural and/or engineering standards, with the ability to interpret them in a railway/transportation environment.

Experience:

Experience in a multi-disciplinary design and delivery environment. Understanding of how architecture and design-related disciplines fit within the overall multi-disciplinary context and inter-dependencies.
