Job Description

Embedded Systems Architect responsibilities include designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems, reviewing and designing code, integrating and validating new product designs, and developing system software from design through debugging. They have proven work experience in bare metal programming (Device drives, bootloader, OTA, pre-emptive kernel, communication protocol, mixed-signal processing, microcontrollers, and peripherals). Experience in embedded systems design with bare-metal programming, pre-emptive, and multitasking RTOS. Experience in Security, Cloud technologies & AI will be an advantage. Location: Southampton, UK Duration: 6 months (Possible extension) Contract day rate: GBP450/day (Inside IR35) with slight deviation is possible Hybrid work model: 3 days/week from client location Start date: Immediate Experience in: Sound and proven decision-making skills to influence the technology choice and implementation methodologies. Strong hands-on experience with C language on embedded platforms Strong Knowledge of RTOS, bare-metal coding, Device Driver, Context switching, Multi-threading, and Scheduler development. IoT Gateway Development Familiarity with the hardware peripherals and microcontroller architecture Knowledge of Linux Platform/RTOS with an emphasis on embedded device driver development, multi-threading, and firmware debugging Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Project Management. System design skills using state diagrams. Agile software development Cloud Enablement - AWS Security practices in Embedded devices. Must-Have: System Architectural design Algorithm Development Strong embedded C programming skills, Microcontroller programming Communication protocols and driver integration. Debugging experience Good communication & Customer facing skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics 5+ years' of relevant UK experience Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions in the industry area Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
