A small and expanding practice based on the Hertfordshire/Essex border is working on residential projects ranging from extensions to new-build dwellings, conversions, and larger housing developments. They are seeking an ambitious Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist to join them and hopefully take a senior role within the business. Candidates will need the following skills and experience:
At least 10 years’ experience
Ideally be ARB registered but not essential
Good understanding of design constraints within various areas / boroughs
Strong client-facing skills
Good knowledge of construction and ability to draw technical drawings and detailed building regulation drawings when necessary
Strong knowledge of Contract Administration and comfort in dealing with projects on site, including site visits, checking quotations, and dealing with builders and sub-contractors
Good presentation skills to clients, planners, and other consultants
Understanding of how the business works financially and ability to meet deadlines
Must be able to use AUTOCAD, Excel, Word, SketchUp, and Photoshop
