Job Title: Senior Architectural Technician (3-Month Contract) Location : North East, UK Rate : £25+ per hour (dependent on experience) Company Overview : A leading architectural practice in the North East of the UK, known for delivering high-quality and innovative designs across a wide range of sectors including education, residential, commercial, and public services. We are currently seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team on a 3-month initial contract basis, with the possibility of extension. Role Overview : As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects, working closely with architects, designers, and clients. You will be expected to produce high-quality technical drawings, detailed design documentation, and collaborate effectively across project teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the education sector and will be highly proficient in

Revit . The role will require a

2-day per week in-office presence , with the remainder of the week being remote. Key Responsibilities : Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans using

Revit . Collaborate with the design team to ensure high-quality project outcomes. Provide technical support throughout all stages of design and construction. Work on various education sector projects, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards. Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery. Manage project documentation, including design iterations, drawings, and technical specifications. Assist in resolving technical issues that arise during the construction phase. Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders. Key Skills and Experience : Minimum 5 years

of experience as an Architectural Technician within the UK architecture industry. Strong experience in the

education sector

(experience with schools, colleges, or universities is highly desirable). Proficient in

Revit

(essential), with experience in producing detailed technical drawings and BIM models. Knowledge of current UK building regulations, standards, and sustainability principles. Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience with other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) is advantageous. Qualifications : A relevant degree or qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field. Full working knowledge of Revit and other technical software. Contract Details : Initial contract length:

3 months

(with potential for extension). Hourly rate:

£25+ per hour , depending on experience. 2 days per week in the office , with the rest of the week working remotely. Immediate start available.
