This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and execute audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, while also managing and mentoring junior staff. You will be the key liaison with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of audit services in accordance with regulatory requirements and firm standards. Your role will involve both technical expertise and the development of client relationships, working closely with partners and managers to drive business growth and deliver exceptional service.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Auditor, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing audits for a diverse client base. Your strong organisational skills will ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations. You will supervise and develop junior staff members, providing them with valuable on-the-job training. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to liaise effectively with clients to resolve queries, discuss findings, and provide recommendations for improvement. Your proactive attitude towards problem-solving will assist in delivering high-quality results. Plan, lead, and execute audits for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations. Supervise and develop junior staff, providing on-the-job training and performance reviews. Review financial statements and audit working papers, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion. Liaise with clients to resolve queries, discuss findings, and provide recommendations for improvement. Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentations for senior management and clients. Identify opportunities for additional services and business development. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards and auditing techniques. Assist with the planning and budgeting of audit assignments, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of work.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Auditor position is ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards. You have proven experience in audit, having spent at least 3 years in a similar role within public practice. Your excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships set you apart. You are highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Your experience managing and mentoring junior staff shows your passion for team development. Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ProAudit) and Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Above all, you have a proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and delivering high-quality results. ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards. Proven experience in audit, with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within public practice. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience managing and mentoring junior staff, with a passion for team development. Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ProAudit) and Microsoft Office Suite. A proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and delivering high-quality results.
