Life as a Senior Back End Developer: As a Senior Back End Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Agile Digital team, contributing to the evolution of our e-commerce platform. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of a Service-Based Architecture while upgrading and maintaining our market-leading website. Collaborating with cross-functional IT teams, you’ll ensure the business logic powering our platform is scalable, reliable, and optimised for growth. Your Objectives: Work collaboratively within a close-knit team that embraces strong values and a shared vision Lead and support the team in the development of new features and improvements for our enterprise-scale e-commerce website Assist in the transition to a modern Service-Based Architecture to enhance performance and scalability Ensure high-quality code delivery by implementing best practices, including comprehensive testing and continuous integration Key Skills: Proven experience in enterprise-scale Ruby on Rails development Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL Familiarity with testing frameworks like RSpec A strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and Agile development methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment Interview Process: Phone Screen with Talent Acquisition: A 30 minute call with a member of the Talent Acquisition Team Technical Interview: A deep dive into your Ruby on Rails expertise and problem-solving capabilities. (60 Mins) Cultural Fit and Values Interview: Understanding how your values align with our team's mission and goals. (30-60 Mins)
