Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in PHP and Laravel
to join our collaborative and innovative team. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the backend infrastructure and systems that power our platform. Your expertise are required to: Design and develop efficient and scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance and stability Collaborate with the frontend development team to integrate frontend features with the backend Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code Optimise and maintain databases, including MySQL and MongoDB, for efficient performance Utilise AWS services for building and deploying microservices in a cloud-based environment Create and maintain APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, and apply them to improve our systems Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise Work closely with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers We ideally require: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of professional experience working as a backend engineer Extensive experience of PHP and the Laravel framework Experience with AWS or other cloud providers is preferred Proficient in relational database design and SQL Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice architecture Ability to write well-structured, testable, and maintainable code Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills We offer you: Competitive salary and benefits package (employee assistance program, health cash plan, tech scheme, cycle scheme, gym membership, retail discounts and more) 24 days holiday plus your birthday (additional 3 days for each year of service) Flexible work environment Opportunity for career advancement and growth Regular team events and social activities Dynamic and innovative company culture Join our team and be a part of the future of the parking industry!
