As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and build scalable and robust systems that enable and support our new free-to-play game in Unreal Engine. Reports to

You will report to the Lead Backend Engineer. What will you do?

Design and build scalable and robust systems that enable and support our game Gather and analyze requirements together with other stakeholders Lead and mentor junior colleagues Work together with game developers, DevOps engineers, and producers What are we looking for?

Hands-on experience of designing and developing microservice architectures to produce scalable, maintainable backend systems Kotlin proficiency, including familiarity with Spring Boot and/or its alternatives Good understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases Experience with real-time communication protocols (WebSockets, gRPC, etc.) and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) Experience with test-driven development with a high level of quality Experience of developing game backend architectures (state management, real-time player interactions, high load); systems that support matchmaking, leaderboards, and in-game economies, etc. Independent, analytical, and a high level of ownership Successfully delivered highly scalable systems into production Strong communication skills in English What additional skills will help you stand out?

Experience with Unreal Engine Work Environment
