Senior BD & Marketing Executive Wedlake Bell is recruiting for a Senior BD & Marketing Executive to join our growing BD & Marketing Team. This is a full-time, permanent position. Our BD & Marketing team is a growing array of eleven professionals and plays a crucial role in shaping the firm and our future. Our role is to build the firm's reputation among all stakeholders, help develop deeper and broader relationships with our clients, and drive future revenue growth. The team consists of: BD & Marketing Director;

Three Senior BD & Marketing Managers embedded with our practice groups (Private Client, Real Estate, Disputes and Business Services); Senior BD & Marketing Executive; BD & Marketing Executive;

Head of Marketing;

CRM Manager (currently recruiting); Senior Brand & Marketing Executive; Events Coordinator; Marketing Operations Coordinator.

As a Senior BD & Marketing Executive, your role is critical in both supporting and driving BD & Marketing activities across the firm. Your role will encompass core BD functions across all legal groups in the firm, and provide key support to our Senior BD & Marketing Managers in the development and implementation of business plans and campaigns.While this is a cross-practice and departmental role, the evolution of the M&BD function means this role offers the opportunity to focus on core practices areas across real estate and the hotels & hospitality sector. Support our Senior BD & Marketing Managers across all legal groups to create and execute strategic business plans, taking ownership over key activities across the full BD & Marketing life-cycle; Support on and drive the implementation of BD & Marketing campaigns, considering all elements of the full marketing mix including thought leadership, blogs, social media, webinars, podcasts, events, PR etc; Work on pitch and proposal opportunities, delivering strong first-draft documents to the partners and overseeing proposal processes through to completion; Support on the pursuit of opportunities to develop new and existing clients as well as suggest ways to cross-sell into the wider Wedlake Bell business; Prepare and maintain practice related materials (practice group profiles, deal / matter case studies, thought leadership pieces, CVs etc.; Work with the Events Executive to plan, coordinate and execute large scale events such as seminars, roundtables, receptions, etc.; Source relevant content for the firm’s website and intranet; Co-ordinate legal directory submissions; Support with the development and adoption of the firm's CRM system (InterAction); and Work closely with internal stakeholders to engage with the CRM system to improve communication and knowledge sharing of BD & Marketing opportunities. Key Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Senior BD & Marketing Executive (or with sufficient experience at Executive-level to step up) in a BD and Marketing function in a partnership environment (law or professional services preferred); Ideally, have developed experience using the InterAction CRM, or Vuture (campaign management) – or similar platforms; A university degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field (ideally Marketing or Business), or equivalent professional experience; Excellent drafting and writing skills – with desirable experience writing copy, creating presentations, and other promotional materials – focus on a quality "first-time product" and creativity in approach; Excellent interpersonal skills – able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both internally and externally); Takes a high level of ownership over your workload – able to keep organised, meet deadlines, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail – on multiple ongoing projects without the need for significant supervision; A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and suggesting new ideas; and Strong IT skills – a good understanding of the MS Office suite, Canva, and other relevant programs.
