We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Brand Strategist to join our dynamic in-house agency. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can lead complex and high-impact brand strategy projects, ensuring the delivery of innovative and effective strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. As a senior contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, and leadership, to define, articulate, and elevate our brand’s positioning in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Lead the development of comprehensive brand strategies for large and complex projects, including brand positioning, messaging frameworks, audience segmentation, and go-to-market plans.

Act as the strategic lead on major campaigns, working closely with creative teams to ensure strategic alignment throughout the execution phase.

Partner with internal stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities, aligning brand strategies with overarching business objectives.

Research and Insights

Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and audience profiling to uncover insights that inform brand strategies.

Leverage data, analytics, and qualitative research to craft compelling, insight-driven narratives that guide decision-making.

Monitor industry trends and cultural shifts to ensure the brand remains relevant and ahead of the curve.

Collaboration and Influence

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, presenting clear and actionable recommendations for Twinkl and the brands within the Twinkl Group.

Collaborate with creative, marketing, and product teams to ensure brand consistency and cohesion across all touchpoints.

Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and alignment meetings to bring stakeholders together around a unified brand vision.

Innovation and Thought Leadership

Develop innovative approaches to brand storytelling, ensuring the brand remains fresh, engaging, and differentiated in a competitive market.

Advocate for the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and frameworks that enhance the effectiveness of brand strategy initiatives.

Champion a culture of strategic excellence within the in-house agency, mentoring and/or training peers and fostering collaboration across Marketing, PR, Internal Communications, Education, and Product/UX.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in brand strategy, preferably within an agency or in-house environment.

Degree in marketing, branding, or a related field (Preferred)

Research Savvy:

Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a knack for uncovering actionable insights.

Storytelling:

Exceptional storytelling and narrative development skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling strategies that inspire action.

Collaboration:

Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Adaptability:

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and breaking down complex problems into manageable, actionable parts.

Tools:

Familiarity with brand strategy tools, analytics platforms, and creative briefing processes.

Self-motivated:

Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment.

Project Management:

Confident in prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a high standard of work under tight deadlines.
