We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team to implement data retention standards and data retention schedules across the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring that your business area is compliant with relevant regulations and industry best practices, as well as improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our data processes and systems.

You will be joining the data function that is focused on establishing strong data governance and data management practices across the organisation. You will be part of a core working group that is delivering a multi-year programme of data initiatives, where your experience and success will shape current and future opportunities. You will work with a team of passionate and invested data professionals who will support you in establishing strong data fundamentals on which to build.

Job Description:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:
  • Develop and implement a data retention standard across the organisation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support the business in creation and maintenance of data retention schedules, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect our data management practices.
  • Lead project teams to deliver project objectives on time and within budget. Use project management methodologies, tools and techniques to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
  • Analyse business processes and systems, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure their needs are met and that they are kept informed about progress on projects.
  • Develop a suite of training materials to support education of users. Construction of real business use cases and examples to drive right behaviours and understanding.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Governance or experience in a date governance related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with having delivered a successful project or worked in a project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles and practices, including data retention standards and schedules.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence in facilitating meetings and workshops to reach desired outcomes.
