Senior Business Development Manager, Partnerships (Embedded Finance)
Permanent Full Time role in Business Development. Located in London - Hybrid. Working at our iconic office in King’s Cross, London, and virtually via Microsoft Teams. Your new role at NewDay The UK’s embedded finance market is growing rapidly and NewDay has ambitions to build on its existing successes to a position of market leadership. To do so, we’ve developed an exciting strategy to supercharge our embedded finance business through both product development and expanded distribution capabilities. As part of the team that delivers this, you’ll be focused on growing our merchant base relying on your well-honed business development, partnering, and sales skills, as well as influencing the product development roadmap. You’ll be directly responsible for generating merchant growth at scale, targeting consumer credit audiences, and helping our merchant clients boost both sales and customer loyalty. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a major growth area of the business and you should also expect to play a role in supporting new strategic channel partnership opportunities within the senior Embedded Finance BD team. Transformational growth, working alongside our channel partners (e.g. Lloyds Bank) to drive embedded finance through best-in-class sales efforts and techniques. Researching target organisations, understanding sector-specific challenges, and, in collaboration with our channel partners, supporting the sales cycles and pitches to target merchants. Building relationships with key people at channel partnerships, you’ll work with them to create and deliver efficient go-to-market strategies to penetrate the target merchant base. Understanding how embedded finance products and pricing can be tailored to meet the merchants’ needs; drive sales and customer engagement. Negotiating sometimes complex contracts through to win-win positions, success, and signature, and supporting each partner or merchant through to successful launch. What you’ll bring We need knowledge, experience + expertise in: Successful business development, partnerships, or strategic sales experience. Experience of operating within a regulated sector. And would love you to know or learn: Sales, account management, or partnerships in the retail finance or BNPL sectors. Partnerships with regulated companies (e.g. Banks or Consumer Lenders).
