Buyer – Body Structures
to join our highly skilled and dynamic
Strategic Sourcing Team . This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. What's the opportunity Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager Body Structure, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and the commercial management of some of the Body Structure commodities (i.e., Stamping) in line with the global Forseven Strategy created by a Senior Buyer already in position. Requirements What you will do: Develop and maintain commodity strategies for a specific range of suppliers. Support and manage the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the commodity area following alignment with the Senior Buyer. Partner with Engineering, Quality and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are leveraging the best technology, cost, and quality. Conduct and evaluate assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management. Ensure that the Supplier can fulfill Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, and technical attributes. Who you are: Procurement/Purchasing experience within manufacturing/automotive and production-based environment (desirable). Exposure and experience in negotiation. Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business. Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies. Basic understanding of QAF analysis. Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers.
