Strategic Sourcing Manager for Exterior,
you will be responsible for delivering the strategic direction and the commercial management of
Exterior
commodities, ensuring they align with business objectives and growth plans. What you will do:
Responsible for end-to-end commodity management, from concept, development & sourcing, through to operational supply performance management and runout/exit strategies. Developing & executing purchasing strategies on Exterior commodities in line with business objectives and future growth plans. Delivering and leading contract management via effective negotiation and supplier performance management. Be responsible for commodity level cost ownership, risk management, identifying cost opportunities and reporting new risks while creating effective mitigation strategies. Maintaining supplier relationship management with existing supply partners while identifying and developing new potential supplier relationships by influencing stakeholders and supporting escalation to drive optimal resolutions. Providing support to ensure the development of a high-performing and collaborative sourcing function within the business. Who you are:
A proven background in direct procurement, specifically related to manufacturing and production within the automotive or aerospace industries. Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret complex data and make strategic decisions that enhance supply chain effectiveness. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Understanding of key cost drivers in manufacturing and ability to optimize costs in the supply chain. Strategic thinker capable of developing innovative approaches to supply base management that reduce risk and maximize value. A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management, with a focus on continuous improvement.
