ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established commercial trading led Buyer to join this fast-paced busy team. As the Senior Buyer, you will have responsibility for product ranging, price, and promotion activity across multiple range categories. To be successful, you will need to have strong attention to detail, a commercial trading understanding, and proven ability in supplier management. You will be passionate about developing supplier relationships and be capable of identifying best trading opportunities to drive margin improvement. Outside the core responsibilities of a Senior Buyer, you will be a number 2 support to the Head of Buying, so this role will include some people management responsibility and opportunities to become involved in project work.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
The Senior Buyer will have experience in commercial trading working with FMCG branded goods, such as Health & Beauty, Household, Pet, or Food & Drink. You will have a strong understanding of pricing and how to promote stock and have the capability to work with autonomy and be comfortable with line management. In addition, experience in developing private label and Far East sourcing would be preferable.

Our client is an established privately owned retail business based in the heart of the East Midlands. This role offers hybrid working, attending the office 3 days out of 5, so you must live within a realistic commuting distance on this basis to be considered.
SALARY
£45,000 - £55,000 DOE
