My client is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their business as it continues to expand and grow across the globe. This is an exciting time to be joining a successful company that is going in the right direction.

Job Summary

They are looking for a proactive and experienced Buyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and building a variety of product ranges across Toys, Activity and Arts & Crafts.

The role requires excellent analytical skills, strong market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring they have the right products, sourced at the right price, to meet their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Sourcing:

Identify and source products in line with company objectives, market trends, and customer demand. Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products and services. Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet sales demands without excessive surplus, always considering supplier lead times. Market Analysis:

Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new products, emerging trends, and competitive pricing strategies. Quality & Compliance:

Work closely with the quality and compliance team to ensure goods arrive in a timely manner and are compliant for the market and in line with regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with QA, logistics, and marketing to ensure full product lifecycle is considered and sales are maximized.

Key Requirements: Toy category & licensed knowledge is advantageous. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); training on Navision will be given. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. In-depth knowledge of market trends, sourcing, and supply chain management.

Other Requirements: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
