Your new role A new opportunity from Hays Procurement for a Senior Buyer for a growing manufacturing business in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. As Senior Buyer, you will assist with the indirect categories for the business in areas such as workwear, stationery and laboratory, to name a few. You will be responsible for building relationships both internally, with key stakeholders and externally, with a number of suppliers. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full procurement process, including raising RFI’s, RFQ’s, issuing and sending out purchase orders to suppliers, managing vendor performance and conducting audits or visits where relevant. You will manage existing suppliers as well as sourcing and onboarding new suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed You will have previous experience in a procurement role. Indirect experience is not essential but would be advantageous. Ideally, you will be CIPS qualified or working towards this. You will have excellent relationship management skills and be a proven negotiator. Excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as having strong IT skills would also be highly advantageous.
