£55,000 - £60,000 A world-leading manufacturer of ejection seats and related aerospace safety equipment is seeking a Senior Buyer to oversee the procurement of goods and services related to facilities management. Key Accountabilities - Senior Buyer
Provide the primary point of contact for suppliers. Manage purchase requisitions and Capex in accordance with standard operating procedures. With the relevant commodity manager, actively develop, gain agreement to, and roll out the appropriate Commodity Strategy. Identify and engage with new suppliers. In conjunction with the Commodity Managers, research and evaluate new suppliers and technologies. Monitor the external environment and keep an up-to-date knowledge of competitors and supplier capacity and capability. Generate and maintain supplier data in Medius & SAP - cost, master data, transactions, etc. to support financial and governance processes. Comply with all Sourcing policies & processes. Ensure compliance with export controls e.g. UK, USA, others as appropriate, and Company Policies & Processes. Skills and Knowledge Required - Senior Buyer
Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject (Purchasing, Supply Chain, CIPS). Extensive experience managing categories across the Facilities portfolio. Experience within a Manufacturing or similar environment. Knowledge of all Facilities categories (including building construction, H&S regulations, Governmental building regulations).
