We're seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer (Quantity Surveyor) to join a leading global, multi-disciplined engineering and construction company. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape supply chain strategies and drive the success of high-impact projects in the construction and rail sectors. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Buyer (Quantity Surveyor), you will: Align regional demand with supply chain capacity and develop tailored strategies to support operational needs. Deliver competitive procurement solutions that enhance tender advantages. Provide expert procurement services for sub-contractors and materials across: Pre-construction:

Supply chain selection and strategy development for bid leaders. Construction Stage: Drive procurement schedules and collaborate with project teams to develop work package documents. Execute work package procurement and produce sub-contract agreements. Manage sub-contract formalities and compliance. Manage and optimise supply chain performance, fostering efficiency and continuous improvement. Support regional and group-wide procurement goals, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. Experience & Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring: Construction Knowledge:

A thorough understanding of work practices from pre-construction through project delivery. Safety and Sustainability Awareness:

Strong knowledge of safety considerations and a commitment to sustainable procurement practices. Technical Proficiency: Good working knowledge of NEC contracts and Primavera P6 software. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project). Industry Connections:

A solid network and relationships within the supply chain, particularly in the rail sector. Professional Development:

Actively working towards CIPS certification. Time Management:

Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities. Relevant Experience:
