Overview This Systems Engineering vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle, specialising in Command & Control (C2), which will involve proactive interaction and communication with other Engineering and non-Engineering functions. Candidates should have a good understanding of all aspects of Systems Engineering relating to lifecycle processes and methodologies. There are three available roles: System Design engineers to support the design changes for the above systems activity, which includes requirements analysis and V&V work. (x2) Provide customer support, design and deliver the current generation of subsystems, and bid for future work. (x1) Bristol based. Hybrid - 4 days per week (min) onsite Responsibilities Provide Systems Proving Engineering Services to support a customer-based team delivering design engineering support. Support our customer in the analysis of system and subsystem requirements and the derivation of functional, hardware, performance, and safety requirements, and the planning and execution of verification & validation activities. Author updates to the Software Requirement Specification and Hardware Requirement Specifications as required. Produce the traceability from C2 Technical Requirement Specification to the subsystem Software and Hardware Requirement Specifications. Produce the subsystem Verification Plans to support the delivery and qualification of the product. Define the Test Scenarios and Success Criteria to meet the Software Requirements to support equipment qualification. Execute tests, record results, and raise non-conformances and queries. Produce the design certification documentation to support delivery of the products into service. Review Technical Publications to ensure they are consistent with design changes. Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent education with relevant experience. Applications are also welcomed from individuals with significant demonstrable experience who don't hold formal qualifications. CEng or demonstration that working towards chartership. Member of a relevant institution, or relevant experience capable of registering with the Engineering Council. Essential skills 10 years of Systems engineering delivery across all areas of the systems V model. Desired skills Experience working in high hazard industries. Experience in Verification methodologies. Experience with Validation Methodologies. Experience of Systems Integration. Understanding of testing of complex engineering products. Experience across all areas of the product life-cycle. Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as Enterprise Architect and DOORS is desirable. Good communicator, both verbal and written. Working to support Safety Arguments. Experience working with ISO 9001. Experience with Defence Industry. Experience System Integration. Design Proving and Trials. System and subsystem Integration. Design testing. System assessment and acceptance. Design Verification.
