A little about Avenue House Nursing and Care Home:

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care, for 48 residents.

Prepared to take on extra training as required

Day to Day Responsibilities for Senior Care Assistant:

Provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.

Promote our resident's independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect.

Lead your shift to ensure high standards are maintained.

Complete daily medication rounds and document consistently.

Promote good practice in all aspects of care and challenge poor practice.

Essential Requirements for Senior Care Assistant:

Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).

Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential/nursing home setting.

Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.

Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults.

Live within 30 minutes of the Home.

Preferred Requirements for Senior Care Assistant:

Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home.

At least one year's experience working in a similar role in a residential or nursing home.

Experience of caring for residents living with dementia.

NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.

Knowledge of National Care Standards Act 2000.

Experience of managing a team.
