Alexander Care Home is a residential service with 31 rooms supporting people over 65 with elderly and nursing care. We have a Good CQC rating and have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Carer to progress into a Team Leader position. We are looking for an experienced Care Worker who has over 2 years’ experience in a residential care home and is ideally qualified (and/or willing to gain qualification) to Level 3 with an exceptional attitude to providing person-centred care with dignity and compassion to retain independence in later life. We will need you to be competent and trained in Medication management and be willing to develop your position quickly and effectively to increase the valuable, senior experience alongside our deputy and registered managers. We will provide full training to get you upskilled. Responsibilities:

To maintain care skills at a Level 3 and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up-to-date. To support the leadership to the care functions of The Home. To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time. To supervise the care services within The Home in accordance with agreed standards. Our contracts are shifted to 33 hours per week and ideally run across 3 long days from 8am-8pm. There is also a possibility of overtime. We can look to increasing this to 38.5 hours per week if you were keen to work 3 days the first week and then 4 days in the following. Starting pay rates for a senior are £12.55 rising to £13.3 when offered Team Leader recognition.
